80-440 Hideaway Club Ct
La Quinta, California 92253
This Pete Dye links-inspired course was the first at Hideaway and completed in 2001. Each hole is a journey down a rolling fairway bordered by native grasses that gives way to wide strips of sand or to strategically placed streams and ponds. Sand and water begin or end each hole, lining the edges of the greens or expanding in front of elevated tees. Among the many favorite aspects of this course is the close proximity of its tees and greens which allows for members to easily walk the course.
Pete Dye is one of the most influential and creative golf course designers in the history of the game. He designs challenging courses for the most accomplished golfers, yet makes them accessible and enjoyable for players of all skill levels. Mr. Dye's designs are known to be both environmentally safe and protective of the local surroundings which are consistent with his work at the Hideaway. Known for difficult layouts, Mr. Dye worked with the Hideaway's developers to design an approachable course that is both memorable and challenging.
